The particles of a true solution are more stable than a colloid..

The nature of the substance present in true solution is at microscopic level, whereas in case of colloids it's magnitude is comparatively greater.

Now talking about the particle size... So, in case of colloids the particle size are of appreciable size to scatter a beam of light, i. e. Tyndall Effect, whereas it is absent in true solutions.
