 \sqrt{8 }  =  2 \sqrt{2}

4 \sqrt{32}  = 4 \times 4 \sqrt{2} = 16 \sqrt{2}

Now as similar surds can be added and subtracted so

2 \sqrt{2}  + 16 \sqrt{2}  - 6 \sqrt{2}  = 12 \sqrt{2}
