Given:

The series has been provided.

8 , 48, 12, _ , 18, 108

To find:

Missing term

Solution :

8, 48, 12, _, 18, 108

By observing this series, we get a pattern that this series is following.

The pattern is that every odd-position term is being multiplied by 6 while every even-position term is being divided by 4 to get the next term in the series.

8 × 6= 48

48 ÷ 4 = 12

12  × 6 = 72

72 ÷ 4 = 18

18  × 6 = 108

Hence, the missing term is 72
