Total Distance = 10  + 2 * ( 6 + 3.6 +...................................)

This is an infinite GP  with a = 6  r = 0.6

Sum = a/(1 - r)

10  + 2  *( 6/(1 - 0.6))

= 10 + 12/0.4

= 10 + 30

= 40
