distance = 500m

given =

u = 36km/h = 10m/s

v=144km/h = 40m/s

t = 20sec

therefore , acceleration = v-u/t

= 40-10/20

= 30/20

= 3/2 =1.5 m/s²

distance travelled =

using equation

(s=ut+1/2at²)

s= 10 X 20 + 1/2 X 1.5 X 20²

= 500 m
