8. A city is located at a height of 138 m above sea level
while a town is at a height of 51 m below sea level.
Represent the altitude of the town using a negative
number. Hence, find the difference in altitude
between the city and the town.​

Difference in altitudes between the city and town is

138+51=189m

We dont use subtraction because the height cant be in negative and so it is added on totally.
