Hi . My definition might not be a total bookish one but I'll try .

Natural selection is the process of nature selecting the species which have certain characteristics which give them an advantage over others .This leads to perishment of the weaker species due to factors that lead them to extinction ( these factors can be accidental , natural , or human caused )
