Question

8. A factory produced 57900 screws in the month of April, 2002. (The factory produces same number of screws everyday.)

(a) How many screws did the factory produce in 8 days?

(b) In how many days, did the factory produce 34740 screws?

ANSWER :

Number of screws a factory produce in the month of april (2002) = 57900 screws

Number of screws a factory produce in 1 day = \frac{ 57900}{30} - 1930 screws

Now,

(a) Number of screws that the factory will produce in 8 days

= 8 × 1930

= 15440 screws

(b) Number of day, in which the factory will produce 34740 screws

= \frac{ 34740}{1930} = 18 days.

Hence,

Number of screws that the factory will produce in 8 days is 15440 screws

and

Number of days, in which the factory will produce 34740 screws in 18 days
