Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

8)

Given Length of floor = 5m and breadth = 4m

As we know , Area of a rectangle is Length x breadth .

Hence area of the floor is 5 x 4 = 20m^2

Side of the carpet is 3m.

Area of square is a^2 where a is the side of the square .

Area of the carpet = 3^2= 9m^2

Area that isn't carpeted = Area of the floor - Area of the carpet

Non- carpeted area = 20m^2-9m^2 = 11m^2

9)

Area of each flower bed = a^2 ( a is the side ) as they have mentioned that the flower bed is a square .

Hence area of a flower bed = 1^2= 1m^2

Since there are 5 , total area of flower beds = 5 x 1m^2= 5m^2

Area of the rectangular plot = Length x Breadth= 5 x 4 = 20m^2

Remaining area = 20m^2- 5m^2 = 15m^2

10)

Area of the rectangular plot = Length x Breadth = 500 x 200 = 100,000m^2

For every 100m^2 , the cost of tilling is ₹8.

So for 100,000m^2 , it'll be  ₹8 x 100,000/100=  ₹8,000

So there's your answer for those 3 questions . Hope it helps .
