Hey Buddy

Here's The Answer

--------------------------------------------------------

==> Given :-

=> Speed of jogger is 8 Km/h

=> Takes rest of half an hour after 3 Km

=> Distance to travel is 12Km

==> To find :-

=> Total time taken to travel 12 Km keeping all conditions.

SOLUTION

=> First we'll find the time taken to cover 12 Km with the speed of 8 Km/h

We Know

=> Speed = Distance / Time

=> Time = Distance / Speed

==> Time = 12 / 8 hours

=> Time = 3 / 2 hours

Now Time taken is 3/2 Hours to complete 12 Km with speed of 8 Km/h. But we haven't added the time taken in rest.

So we know jogger takes rest in every 3 Km, so the number to time he took rest = 12 / 3

He took rest 4 times

And, He takes rest for half an hour ( 1/2 hour )

So total time he tested is

=> 4 × 1/2

=> 2 hours

Now total time he took to cover 12 Kmi including time used in rest

=> 3/2 + 2

=> 7/2 hours OR 3.5 hours

Hope it helps
