Step-by-step explanation:

The speed of man in upstream=4-2=2

Time=d/s

=12/2

=6 hr to row upward

The speed of man in downstream=4+2=6

Time=d/s

=12/6

=2 hr to row downward

Total Time = 6+2=8 hr in total to row upstream then downstream.......
