Answer:

The man loses ₹360 .

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Let the cost price of the 1st Buffalo be ₹x.

selling price = ₹7820

He has gain 15%.

hence, S.P.=C.P.+ profit

so, 7820= x+ 15% of x

or, x+ 15x/100= 7820

115x/100 = 7820

x = 7820×100/115 = 6800

Hence, the Cost Price of the first Buffalo is ₹6800

  • Let the cost price of the 2nd Buffalo be ₹y.
  • selling price = ₹7820
  • He loses 15%.
  • hence, S.P.=C.P. - loss

7820= y - 15% of y

or, y - 15y/100 = 7820

85y/100 = 7820

y = 7820×100/85 =₹ 9200

  • Total cost of two Buffaloes is (6800+9200)=₹16000
  • Total selling price of two Buffaloes is 7820+2 = 15640
  • Hence, total loss = 16000-15640=360

so, total lose of thar person in the transaction is ₹ 360.
