Answer:

Given, for retailer

S.P=Rs891

Profit =8 %

=> Profit % =

C.P.

S.P.−C.P.

×100=8 %

=>

C.P

891−C.P.

×100=8

=>891−C.P.=0.08C.P.

=>1.08C.P=891

=>C.P.=Rs825

This, Rs825 is the S.P for manufacturer as he sold the article to retailer

So, Profit % =

C.P.

S.P.−C.P.

×100=10 %

=>

C.P

825−C.P.

×100=10

=>825−C.P.=0.1C.P.

=>1.1C.P=825

=>C.P.=Rs750

Hence, manufacturer bought the article for Rs750
