8. A rectangular park is 50 m long and 35 m wide. A path 3 m wide is constructed outside the park. Find the area of the path and the cost of constructing it at * 200 per m2.​

Area of park =l×b=45×30=1350 cm

Area of park with path is =45+2.5+2.5×30+2.5+2.5=1750 cm

Therefore,

Area of path = Area of park with path − Area of rectangular park

Area \:  of  \: Park = l×b  \\  = 50 \times 35 \\  = 1,750

Area \:  of  \: Park  =  \\  = 50 + 3 + 3 \times 35 + 3 + 3 \\  = 56 \times 35 + 6 \\  = 56 \times 41 \\  = 2,296

Area = 2,296 - 1,750

Area = 546

Cost \:  at  \: 200 \:  {m}^{2}

 = 546 - 200

 = 346
