8. A stone is thrown upwards from the surface of the moon with a velocity of 19.6 m/s.
(a) How much time will it take to attain the maximum height? (b) How high will it go

acceleration on moon = 1/6 the acceleration on earth

= 9.8× 1/6

=  1.62 m/s²

u = 0 m/s

v = 19.6 m/s

t = v - u / a

  =19.6 m/s - 0 m/s / 1.62 m/s²

 = 12.1 s

time = 12.1 s

s = ut +1/2at²

 = 0m + 118.59 m

 = 118.59 m
