HELLO FRIEND ☺️

Chalk is chemically calcium carbonate.
CaCO3 + HCl (dil) ----------> CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O

When CO2 gas is passed through limewater it turns milky due to formation of insoluble calcium carbonate.

Ca(OH)2 + CO2 ----------> Ca(CO)3

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

priyankaa25: thanks a lot Tina!!
