8. A table is 1.8 m long and 1.5 m wide. A table cloth with sides 30 cm more than that of
the table is laid on it. Find the perimeter of the table cloth. ​

Answer 1

Given:- Length of Table = 1.8 m

Breadth of Table = 1.5 m

The sides of table cloth is 30 cm more than that of the sides of table.

[ Note:- 1 m = 100 cm so, 30 cm = 0.3 m ]

That means, Length of cloth = 1.8 m + 0.3 m = 2.1 m

Breadth of cloth = 1.5 m + 0.3 m = 1.8 m

Let's Start:- Perimeter of Rectangular table cloth = 2 (L + B)

                                                                                ⇒ 2 ( 2.1 + 1.8)

                                                                                ⇒ 2 × 3.9 m

                                                                                ⇒ 7.8 m

∴ Perimeter of Table cloth = 7.8 cm
