8. A wire is in the shape of a rectangle of length 18 cm and width 15 cm. It is reshaped in the form of a circle. Find the radius and hence the area of circle. ​

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

=2(18+15)cm

=2×33cm

=66cm

now,

as we know , perimeter remain same after after changing shape of figure using same wire

perimeter of rectangle =perimeter of circle

66cm =2πr

2×22/7×r=66 cm

r=66×7/2×22

r=10.5cm

then ,

area of circle=πr^2

=(22/7×10.5×10.5)cm^2

=346.5cm^2
