in Pella, a Macedonian capital. From his twelfth
year he studied on the tutorship of
Aristotle. At the ages of sixteen, he was

while his father marching against Byzantium.
When he was twenty, his father were murdered
and he came into possessions of the throne
and the powerful Macedonian army.
