Answer:

ANSWER

Given:

Side of Square =12 cm

∴  Area of square =12×12

                              =144 cm

2

Now,

let the breadth of rectangle be x

∴  Area of rectangle =Length×breadth

                              =16×x

According to question,

Both the areas are equal. So,

⟹16x=144

⟹x=

16

144

=9cm

∴breadth(x)=9 cm

Now ,

Perimeter of rectangle =2(Length+breadth)

                                      =2(16+9)

                                      =50cm

Answer:

Given:-

→Area of rectangle and area of square are equal.

→Perimeter of square is 64 cm.

→Breath of rectangle is 4 cm.

To Find:-

⟹ the perimter of rectangle.

Solution:-

perimeter of the square = 4 times it's side

the perimeter of the square =64cm

so let the square's side be x

4x=64

x=\cancel\frac{64}{4}

\mathbb{\boxed{\purple {x=16}}}

so,side of the square =16cm

area of the square =16×16

area of the square =\mathbb{\boxed{\purple {256}}}

__________________________________________

as area of the square and rectangle are equal so area of the rectangle = 256

area of the rectangle = length ×breadth

let the length be x

breath =4cm

⟹ 4x=265

⟹ x=\cancel\frac{256}{4}

⟹ \mathbb{\boxed{\purple {x=64}}}

perimeter =2(l+b)

perimeter =2(64+4)

perimeter =2(68)

Perimeter=  \mathbb{\boxed{\purple {136cm}}}

hope this helps you.!!
