Answer:

\sqrt{(x2-x1)^2  +(y2-y1)^2}  
2-(-1)= 3  Therefore 3^2= 9
(-2-y)^2 = 4-y^2

\sqrt{3^{2}+(-2-y)^2 } =  \sqrt{9+4-y^2} = \sqrt{13-y^2} = 5

Squaring both side,

Therefore, the value of y is -6 and 2.
