8 balls of equal radius are to be foam from a ball of 10 cm radius. Find the Surface area of the balls.

let R be the radius of large sphere and r that of small
then R = 10 cm
volume of of bigger sphere = (4 .pi. R^3) /3= (4.pi.10^3)/3
volume of one small sphere = (4.pi.r^3)/3
(4.pi.r^3)/3 = ((4.pi.10^3)/3)/8 (since sphere is moulded into 8 equal sphere)
r= 5 cm
now surface area of each ball = 4.pi.r^2 = (4)(3.14)(5)(5) = 314 cm square
