\underline{ \underline{ \Large \sf { \pink{question:)}} } }

Gokul borrowed rupees 1000 at 10% per annum at compound interest for 3 years from a bank if he paid rupees 600 at the beginning of the third year what will be the principal for the last year?

\underline{\underline{\maltese\:\:{\mathfrak{solution \: in \: short \: ( : }}}}

  • Here, P = ₹ 1000
  • Rate = 10 %

  \blue{\therefore  \rm \: amount \: after \: 2 \: years : - }

 \implies \rm1000 {(1 +  \frac{10}{100} )}^{2}  \\  \\  \implies \rm \: 1000 \times  { (\frac{11}{10} }^{2} ) \\  \\  \implies \rm \frac{1000 \times 121}{100}  \\  \\  \rm \implies \: rs = 1210

Since at the beginning of the third year rupees 600 were refunded...

= Remaining n = 1210-600= ₹610

 \sf= Principal \:  for \:  the  \: 3rd  \: year =  \red{  ₹610} \\

610 is the answer :p
