8 cards are numbered as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 respectively. They are kept in a box and mixed thoroughly . One card is choosen at random What is the probability of getting no. less than 4 ?​

We know that,

Total number of cards kept in the box = 8

∴ number of cards having a number less than 4 on it=3

Probability is given by,

P(A) = no. of possible outcomes/no. of total outcomes

∴ Probability of selecting a card with a number less than 4 on it = 3/8
