Subject is the doer of the action and Predicate is the verb and object part . When we remove the subject whatever is left ; we take it as predicate part .

In the first sentence , second and last sentence : Everyone , his old friends and the little lazy bird are the doers fo the action in their respective own Sentences .

All the remaining part is considered as the Object .
