Tom did NOT do the right thing in pretending to be sick to skip school. All he got was chaos in the household and his tooth pulled by his aunt. His friends, however, were completely in awe of his toothless grin. Tom might have thought it was worth it, but he did have to go to school anyway.

The story "The Adventure Of Tom Sawyer" was written by Mark Twain. Tom is the protagonist of the story and he is a young mischievous boy.

• Tom did not do the right thing by pretending to be sick. He pretended to be sick because he wanted to skip school.
• But it was a wrong thing he did as he had to stay home and had to suffer the commotion that was by his family members.
• Tom's aunt Polly who was the guardian of Tom was struggling to make his nephew disciplined and also love him and she pulled out his tooth.
• The next day his friends made fun of him because of his toothless grin. Tom thought that his plan to miss school was a good one but the day was total awful for him and also he had to go to school the next day toothless.
