Here we 8 identical drop
let suppose it have equal charge q
now capacitance of each drop is =c
now we know that capacitance is depend upon area(may say volume here)
now suppose the radius of each drop is =r
so volume of each drop is =4/3pi r^3
after add all drop the charge of bigger drop is 8q.
now let found out radius of bigger drop
let suppose radius of bigger drop is =R
let suppose capacitance of bigger drop is =C
volume of bigger drop =8x volume of small individual drops
so
4/3pi R^3=8x4/3 pi r^3
R^3=8r^3
R=2r
so
C=2c
