Given:-

  • Side of the flower bed = 380cm
  • It is extended by 50cm all around

To Find:-

  • Area of the enlarged flower bed
  • Area of the increase in size of the flower bed

Calculations:-

Increased length,

= 380cm + 50cm

= 430cm

Area of the enlarged flower bed,

= 430cm × 430cm

= 184900cm²

Area of the original flower bed,

= 380cm × 380cm

= 144400cm²

Area of the increased size of the flower bed,

= 184900cm² - 144400cm²

= 40500cm²

Final Answer:-
