Answer:

(i) : Area under the F-t graph gives the impulse delivered to the ball.

Impulse   J=  1/2  ×18000×1.5

                 =13500 Ns

(ii) :  Force exerted on the ball    F=  J/Δt

=  13500 /1.

​  =9000 N

(iii) : Maximum force exerted on the ball is  18000 N

From figure ,

(1) Area under the F-t graph gives the impulse delivered to the ball as we know that :

Impulse is given by  J=  \frac{1}{2}  ×18000×1.5

                                     =13500 Ns

(2)  Force exerted on the ball    F=  J/Δt

                                                          =  \frac{13500}{1.5}  (Δt = 1.5 sec)

                                                           =9000 N

(3) From the given figure , it is easily known that the maximum force exerted on the ball is  18000 N
