Answer:

Perimeter of Square = 36 cm

Side = Perimeter/4 = 36/4 = 9 cm

∴ Area of square = side × side

= 9 × 9

= 81 cm2

Let each side of the square is 'a'

Then perimeter = 4a = 36cm

                           =>a = 9cm

Then area of square = a^2 = 9^2 = 81cm^2
