First u have to LCM of given numbers = 18, 36, 32 , 27

That is = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 8 = 864

now add the LCM by 3 = 864 + 3 = 867

So 867 is the smallest number which on being decreased by 3, is completely divisible by 18, 36, 32 and 27.
