+5). after you do this you will find that some terms cancel out . do take care of the minus sign in between and its effect on other terms . after cancelling you will find 5a-9 on the LHS just shift 9 on the RHS. now you will find 5a=15

now just transpose 5 and you will get a=15/5 ie 3...
