For example taking,

a =  \frac{2}{3}  \: and \: b =  \frac{1}{3}  \\ a - b =  \frac{2}{3}  -  \frac{1}{3}  =  \frac{1}{3}  \\ b - a =  \frac{1}{3}  -  \frac{2}{3}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

From the above we conclude that for any rational number,a - b is not equal to b - a.
