a) Solids have definite shape and volume due to ther rigitdity. The particles of a solid substance are tightly packed providing rigidity which further provides definite shape and volume to solid.
b) The particles of liquid are loose as compared to solid. They do not have definite shape. They take the shape of container in which they are kept.
c)The particles of gases are very loosely packed and they float away. So gases do not have definite shape and volume
