Given,

Length of side of one cube = 2 cm

Dimensions of the cuboid box = 10cm × 3cm × 4cm

To find,

Number of cubes that can be fitted in that cuboid box.

Solution,

We can easily solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Now, along the breadth we can put only one cube in a row because after putting one cube along the breadth the remaining space will be 1 cm which is insufficient to put any other cube.

So, the value of breadth that can be utilised = length of side of one cube = 2 cm

There is no such problem with length and height as they are divisible by the length of the side of the cube.

Volume of the cuboid box = (10×2×4) = 80 cm³

Volume of one cube = (2)³ = 8 cm³

Number of cubes that can be fitted in the cuboid box = (80÷8) = 10

Hence, Hence, 10 cubes can be fitted in that box.
