Answer:

\red{\bold{i)\:Distance\:=\:8.4Km}}

\green{\bold{ii)\:Speed\:=\:66Km/hr}}

Explanation:

\red{\bold{i)\:Question}}

A scooter travelling at a speed of 200 m/s for 42seconds. Calculate the distance travelled by the scooter in km.

\orange{\bold{Solution-}}

Given ,

Speed = 200 m/s

Time = 42 seconds

According to question ,

we know that - speed = distance/time

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

200 =  \frac{distance}{42}

Therefore , Distance = speed × time

200 × 42

8400 m

Now , we will convert meter into kilometers

⟹8400/1000

⟹8.4km

Hence , Distance 8.4km

\red{\bold{</strong><strong>ii</strong><strong>)</strong><strong>\</strong><strong>:</strong><strong>Question</strong><strong>-</strong><strong>}}

ii) A school bus takes 30 minutes to cover a distance of 33 km. Calculate its speed in km/h.

\green{\bold{solution -}}

Given ,

Distance = 33km

time = 30 minutes = 0.5 hours

According to question -

we know that , speed = distance/ time

Therefore, Speed = 33/0.5

⟹ 33/5×10

⟹ 330 / 5

⟹ 66 km/ hrs

Therefore , speed of bus is 66 km/hr

A\Q,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀{\bold{Speed\:=\: \frac{Distance}{Time}}}

⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀{\bold{200\:=\:\frac{33}{0.5}}}

here we now,

if Denominator is in point so we will remove the point and add one 0 in numerator .

Hence,

⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀{\bold{200\:=\:\frac{330}{5}}}

⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀{\bold{=\:66\:km/hrs}}
