Correct Question :-

If a + b = 12 and ab = 36, find the value of (a² + b²)

Given :-

a + b = 12

ab = 36

To Find :-

(a + b)²

Solution :-

We know that

(a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

(13)² = a² + 2(36) + b²

169 = a² + b² + 72

169 - 72 = a² + b²

97 = a² + b²
