ordinate means y-co ordinate

abscissa means x-coordinate

a). 1/3(3) = 1. [ordinate of p= 3]

2/5(5) =2. [ordinate of Q is 5 ]

b) 2 ( -2) + (-3) = -7 [ abscissa of P is -2 & abscissa of Q is -3 ]
