Answer:

The formula of finding the volume of the cylinder is πr^2h and the area of the circular base (πr^2) is given. So, we have to find the volume of the cylinder by multiplying πr^2 with h. So, the answer will be : 220 cm^2 x 10 cm = 2200 cm^3

Question :-

If the area of the circular base of a cylinder is 22 cm2 and its height is  10 cm, then the volume of the cylinder is :-

Given :-

☞ Area of base of the cylinder = 22cm²

☞ Height = 10cm

To find :-

Volume of the cylinder

Formula to use :-

Volume \:\: of \:\:a \:\: Cylinder =\pi r^{2}h

  • r representing radius
  • h representing height

We know that,

The area of a circle = \pi r^{2} units²

Since the cylinder has a base which is circular, the value of \pi r^{2} and height is given.

Hence by substituting the values,

Volume :-

☞ 22 × 10

☞ 220cm²

Some more formulas :-

☞ Total surface area of a cylinder = 2\pi rh + 2\pi r^{2} =\geq 2\pi r(h+r)

☞ Lateral surface area of a cylinder = 2\pi rh

Hope it helps!

Happy day!
