Answer:

110 peacocks

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of peacocks be x and number of cows be y.

We know that, peacock has 2 legs and cow has 4 legs.

Given,

x + y = 150 ---(1)

2x + 4y = 380 ---(2)

Multiplying eq 1 by 2

2x + 2y = 300 ---(3)

Subtracting eq 3 from eq 2

2x + 4y = 380

2x + 2y = 300

2y = 80

y = 40

Putting y = 40 in eq 1

x + 40 = 150

x = 110

Let the number of cows be x

Let the number of peacocks be y

We know that a cow have 1 head and 4 legs, and a peacock have 1 head, and 2 legs.

Hence, A.T.Q.

x \times 1 + y \times 1 = 150 \\ x + y = 150 \:  \:  \:  \: ...(i)

x \times 4 + y \times 2 = 380 \\ 4x + 2y = 380 \\ 2x + y = 190 \:  \:  \:  \: ...(ii)

Subtracting (i) from (ii)

x = 40

And  y=110

Therefore, the number of peacocks is B) 110
