In ∆ADB and ∆ADC

AB = AC ( given )

AD = AD ( Common )

Angle ADC = Angle ADB ( AD is the perpendicular bisector of BC )

Therefore , ∆ABD $\cong$ ∆ADC by SAS congruency rule
