Given:-

• In the adjacent figure, a line n falls on lines l and m such that the sum of the interior angles 1 and 2 is less than 180°.

To find:-

• We have to tell about the nature of lines l and m

Solution:-

• Here, line n is a transversal line which intersect both the lines l and m .

• ∠1 and ∠2 are co-interior angles and if the lines are parallel then their sum will be equal to 180°. But it is given that sum of the interior angles 1 and 2 is less than 180°

⇒ Hence,  lines are not parallel.

Hence, l and m are non-parallel lines.
