8. In the figure, AB ll CD, <ABE = 130˚ and <CDE = 170˚. Find <BED.​

DE at " X" , so AXTI CD (as given AB II CD and AB is part of AX)

2 CDE = L AXE = 80°

and DE is transversal line and z CDE = =

80° is given)

Now from angle sum property of triangle we get in triangle BEX:

Z BEX + L AXE + L XBE = 180°

Substitute values , As z BED = 4 BEX =

40°, same angles and from equation 1 we

get

40° + 80° + 4 XBE = 180°

2 XBE = 60°

--- (2)

And

2 XBE + L ABE = 180°

( Linear pair angles )

60° + 2 ABE = 180°

(From equation 2)

Z ABE = 120°
