c)60Ω
d)30Ω

8(ii)The total current in the circuit is;
a)1.7A
b)3.3A
c)10A
d)0.1A

8(iii)The potential difference across 20Ω is;
a)6V
b)2V
c)3V
d)1V

8(iv) In the given circuit;
a)The total resistance is lesser than the least individual resistance.
b)The current through R1, R2 and R3 is different.
c)The current through R1, R2 and R3 remains the same.
d)The potential difference across R1, R2 and R3 remains the same.

Answer:

1) they all connected in series so

R1 + R2 + R3 = Rq

10 + 20 + 30 = 60 ohm

2) d) 0.1 Ampere

3) a) 6v

4) b) the current through R1,R2and R3 is different

5) b) 0.3 ampere
