Solution -

According to the question ,

12 men complete the entire work in 20 days . This is a case of inverse proportion .

One man will take 20 × 12 = 240 days to complete the entire work .

Now , 8 men can complete the same amount of work as 12 women .

One man can do 3/2 th of the work of a women .

So

3/2 w = 240

> w = 160

A women take 160 days to complete the entire work .

Now there are 15 women .

Number of days required by them to complete -

> 160/15

> 12 days.

Hence , 15 women can do the work in 12 days. This is the required answer .

To Find :-

In how many days will 15 women complete the same work which 12 men complete in 20 days?

Solution :-

12 men can do in 20 days

One men will take (20 × 12) = 240 days

Now

Men can do in 3/2 then women

\sf \dfrac{3}{2} \times work = 240

\sf \dfrac{240 \times 2}{3} = work

\sf 80 \times 2 = work

\sf 160 = work

According to the question

\sf No. \; of \; days = \dfrac{160}{15}

\sf No. \; of \; days = 12
