• "Listen to the mountains" is a joke about a topical issue. It reflects the universal problem of destroying the natural body and building skyscrapers in its place. History has been repeated in the picturesque village of Dharmagiri.

• Millionaire Dixit planned to build a huge luxury hotel in the village, ignoring the villagers' plea.  Villagers, especially old ones, panicked. The appearance of her grandmother, standing as a synecdoche for old villagers, repeatedly urged hotel owners to stop construction. She wanted him to investigate the younger generation because it was his duty to protect natural resources for the future.

• Villagers warned his director, Sagar, to quit his job because the village area could not support the skyscrapers. But all their complaints were deaf. The greedy townspeople didn't want to hear about the mountains.  They greedily began to transform the natural jungle into a concrete jungle.  Finally, the mountain spoke and told everyone. A landslide has occurred.

• Many were injured and many were buried under a crushed mountain. The government ordered that all work be stopped immediately. Remedies and compensation were announced and an investigation team was dispatched.

So the mountains spoke, but no one but the villagers was willing to listen.
