Let's consider the number be x.

According to the question,

A + 8% of A = A * x

 \:  \:  \sf \implies \: a +  \frac{8a}{100}  = a \times x \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \implies \:  \frac{100a + 8a}{100} = a \times x \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \implies \:   \frac{108a}{100}  = a \times x \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \implies \: x = 1.08

\therefore

Requried the value of x is 1.08.
