8. On a hot afternoon, an ice cream vendor bought
50 orange bars at Rs 4.50 each. However, it
rained when he reached the fair-ground and he
got only Rs 189.00 for all the ice creams. What
was the loss per cent suffered by him?​

Cost of orange bars= Rs.48×4=Rs.192

Cost of vanilla cups= Rs.25×9=Rs.225

and Rs.3 is spent on storage

Therefore, total C.P= Rs.(192+225+3)

=Rs.(195+225)

=Rs.420

Selling price= Rs.240+Rs.200+Rs.1=Rs.441

∴ Net gain= Rs.441−Rs.420=Rs.21
