1/Rp = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

1/Rp = 1/12 + 1/6

1/Rp = 1/12 + 2/12

1/Rp = 3/12

Rp = 4ohm

resistance in series formula:

Rs = R1 + R2 +R3

Rs = 8ohm + Rp

Rs = 8 + 4

Rs = 12ohm

total resistance is 12 ohm.

so, here current in 6ohm resister is 5 amp

let total current be x

then,

(6/12)x = 5amp

6x/12 =5amp

x/2 = 5amp

x = 10amp

from ohm's law,

V = IR

V = 10 × 12

V = 120V

power formula,

P = V × I

120 × 10
