8 small droplets of water of same size and same charge form a large spherical drop . Find the potential of the large drop in comparison to the potential of small drop .

Firstly let us take out Potential due to 1 small droplet .

Let the radius of small droplet be " r " and charge be " q " Then potential V is

→ V = Kq/r

Now this charge ' Q ' is = 8q because 8 droplets form a large drop

=> Q = 8q
Let the radius of large spherical drop be " R "

There volume will be same :-

→ 4/3 π R^3 = 8× 4/3 π r^3

→ R = 2r

Now ,, Potential of large drop will be => ( V ' ) is equal to

=> V ' = K8q/2r = 4V

that is the Potential of large drop is 4 times the potential of small drop .
